About the Author
Philip R. Fagan is a filmmaker, writer, film programmer, and university lecturer with a focus on the avant-garde and experimental media. His film work has been widely screened in theaters and art spaces as well as at festivals and multimedia events, and his written work has been featured in Forbes, Punk Globe, Xpose, and other publications. Raised in Teheran, Iran, Fagan has traveled extensively throughout the US, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. In addition to four years at sea with the US Navy, he has worked as a bartender, day laborer, public school teacher, travel agency manager, and private investigator. He has attended more punk rock shows and midnight movies than he will ever remember and has lived in Austin, Texas since 2007. He enjoys writing about art, literature, cinema, music and (non)popular culture, as well as random snatches of fiction, poetry, memoir, journalism, travel notes, history, and hauntology.
